2026-27 Season

Seattle Collaborative Orchestra seeks motivated student and community musicians from across our region to participate and engage in our award-winning orchestra.

Auditions are currently open for the 2026-27 season. Audition videos are due each season by August 15th for priority admission. Continued auditions are based on orchestra needs and space available.

Seattle Collaborative Orchestra Includes:

1/3 Student and 1/3 Community musicians (selected by SCO Artistic Staff) and 1/3 Professional musicians

Currently, we have openings for:

Violin - Student and Community

Viola - Student only

Cello - Student only

Bass - Student only

Flute - Student only

Oboe - Student only

Clarinet - Student only

Bassoon - Student only

Horn - Student only

Trumpet - Student only

Trombone - Student only

Tuba - Student only

Percussion - Student and Community


THREE STEPS TO AUDITION

  1. Prepare audition video (scales, excerpt(s), solo). Upload “unlisted” audition video to YouTube (click here for help)

2. Pay a one time $45 application fee.

(Payments through Neon pay include a 3.5% + $0.20 per transaction convenience fees)

If the application fee requirement makes it impossible or difficult for you to audition, please contact orchestra@seattlecollaborativeorchestra.org to make other arrangements.

3. Fill out an online application AND add “unlisted” YouTube audition links to application.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT VIDEO AUDITIONS?

  1. Only video recordings uploaded to YouTube will be accepted. (Contact orchestra@seattlecollaborativeorchestra.org if this is not possible)

  2. Cell phone video recordings are acceptable.

  3. List your video as “unlisted” on YouTube! We cannot view “private” videos.

  4. For MORE information on how to audition, go to Audition Instructions

when will I receive my music?

  • Music will be available three weeks prior to first rehearsal
